Established in 1952, Safe Electricity is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization whose members include hundreds of utilities along with educators and others. Millions of consumers get quality information and education from Safe Electricity and its members.

Safe Electricity® is an award-winning, multi-media public awareness program of the Energy Education Council. Since the program’s creation in 2001, Safe Electricity® has been providing information to consumers and helping complement the safety education activities of utilities and educators. In addition to extensive online consumer education resources, members have access to exclusive services including a wide assortment of educational materials and communication tools.
