To create a safer, smarter world: preventing electrical accidents and saving lives by delivering trusted, life-saving education about the safe and smart use of electricity.
Founded in collaboration with the electric utility industry and with a strong commitment to innovation, Safe Electricity equips consumers, educators and utility professionals with tools to stay safe around electricity — at home, at work and in the community.

Safe Electricity is the flagship program of the Energy Education Council (EEC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1952.
